Janet McCarthy
Owner/President
Janet grew up on a farm near West Unity and has lived on a farm with a horse most of her life. She had a sharp learning curve when she and her husband Bill opened the business in 1976. Janet was driving school bus for Montpelier and quit in 1978 after 10 years, when the business demanded more of her time. When the business was in its infancy, out of necessity Janet worked all the different departments and can still be found filling in wherever needed. Although snowmobiling was her favorite aspect of the business until the personal watercraft became popular, she has ridden bikes, scooters, ATVs, and mules. Janet and her husband Bill have lived in the same house near Bryan, the location of the original shop opened in 1976. High school business classes, including bookkeeping and typing, were a huge asset.

Throughout the years, he has attended a variety of classes and seminars including bookkeeping, sales, parts, manangement, and service manager. He currently serves as service manager as well as general manager. For the past 12 years, he has been a fixture at Delta, Milan, and Log Road race tracks, teaching and watching his boys race. Tim and his wife Karen live in Defiance and have two sons, Nick and Zach. Tim raced ATVs and traded his dirt bike for a streetbike. He also enjoyed the many family snowmobile trips to Michigan. The stand up Kawasaki jet ski was Tim's passion for many years, but now he enjoys the luxury of the three passenger cruisers.

Service
Scott Psurny
Service Tech.
Scott grew up northwest of Bryan, just around the corner from the original McCarthy shop. His dad, Bob, worked part time as a mechanic and his grandpa, Joe, was setting up new machines. A very young Scott watched and learned from Bob and Joe. Eventually he began to do little jobs and worked part-time through school. Scott graduated from University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Education and taught high school math for five years. He worked on motorcycles on Saturdays and summers. Scott decided that he was happier as a service tech than teaching and flipped back to his earlier position. Scott has attended many service-related classes and is a certified Honda mechanic. Scott enjoys riding his Yamaha street bike and giving his children the snowmobiling experiences like he enjoyed from an early age. Scott and his wife Holly live near Bryan with their four small children.
Jeff Beerbower
Service Tech.
Jeff has expanded his love of motorcycles to many aspects of the sport. He is the co-owner of the Log Road Race Track near Coldwater, MI, where he not only runs the track with assistance from his wife, Kathy, but he races as well. At an early age, Jeff worked in his dad's repair shop and had the responsibility of keeping his own dirt bike in good mechanical condition. Jeff saw a need for a sturdier dirt bike stand which he designed and manufactured. Now he ships them all over the United States. Jeff worked for the dealership in the 1970s and brings many years of experience to the service department. Jeff divides his time between working at McCarthy's and running the race track.
Nick McCarthy
Service Tech.
Nick has been a part of the business all of his life. In fact, his dad Tim brought him as well as his brother Zach, to work with him for the first year of his life. Grandma Janet and Aunt Pam were more than happy to lend a hand. At the young age of four, he began riding dirt bikes and at five, he was racing. Nick excelled on the track winning 13 championships to date. He not only races, but at an early age, he had the responsibility of maintenance for his bike. With the watchful eye of his dad, Scott, and Jeff, he advanced to the repairing of his bike. Nick is an asset to the service department and also at the track with his technical expertise. Nick also has patiently taught many young people to ride motorcycles in the large field behind the shop. Nick attends Defiance High School and is on the varsity bowling team and active in the jazz band.
